This event is scheduled for Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 in the City of Waseca, MN in South Central Minnesota, just down 35W from the Twin Cities. This event is now becoming a USAT Sanctioned Event. Clear Lake in Waseca is a fantastic setting for a triathlon! This event features a unique distance for those wanting to make the move from Olympic distances to the 70.3 1/2 Iron-distance races. Our 1/3rd Iron-distance race will be a great stepping stone toward your goals. 

The venue is one of the best we have found in Minnesota with a fantastic park next to Clear Lake, a sandy beach to start at, a huge pavilion, a great bandstand, huge playground, and a great running path that circles Clear Lake. 

We have a Sprint Course designed for our newest triathletes and those seeking a shorter distance event. Our goal is to grow the multisport lifestyle in Southern Minnesota and we know the Waseca Triathlon will introduce the sport to many and be a great place for experienced triathletes to tackle their next challenge!
